You can configure any keyboard keystroke from the included virtual keyboard and you can set the following for each keyboard key:
- Keystroke value - the actual keystroke command
- Size - the key's physical dimensions
- Position - the position where the key is located on the iPad screen
- Repeat On / Off - sets whether the key press will be repeated as long as the tapping finger remains on it
- Repeat frequency - sets the repeat frequency of how fast the tapping should be simulated while the tapping finger remains on the key
Once you got the key setup ready you can use it by simply tapping on it.
In order to use the repeat functionality, tap and hold the key as needed – make sure Repeat On was set in the key properties.
The arrows simulate the computer's keyboard 4 arrow keys and are arranged by default within a green circle grouping container. The container allows you to move all the arrow keys that are located within it at once as a group. If an arrow key is positioned outside the limits of the grouping container, it will not move along with the grouping container when it is moved.
To use the arrow key simply tap on it. The direction of the arrow on the key indicates the direction elements would move on the screen.
Briskbit's Zig-Slide mode provides the ability to use different Gamepad controls without the need to lift your fingers off the iPad screen. Simply slide your fingers across the screen, zigzagging between the various controls, to achieve faster and more accurate responses while playing a game. Without the need to lift and tap over each control, you can easily achieve better gaming performance and higher scores.
This is a Briskbit Gamepad unique feature.
Automatic Game Closing
The 'Automatic Game Close' button changes the behavior of the server based game in the end of the game session. If button is highlighted (default) then in the end of the session the game window will be automatically closed by the system. Otherwise if button is disabled then game window will stay on screen. This mode is useful to the process of gamepad building.
Trackpad / Touchpad
The track pad simulates the functionality of a conventional laptop track pad / touchpad.
The track pad is divided into 3 sections
Mouse pointer area
Left mouse click
Right mouse click
Mouse pointer area
The mouse pointer area of the track pad allows you to move the computer's mouse pointer across the screen. The motion and position of your fingers are being translated and transferred to their relative position on the computer screen.
The mouse pointer area has several features and capabilities you should be familiar with:
Sensitivity - The track pad is sensitive to the speed of your finger's motion and adjusts the proportions between the track pad and the screen accordingly. The faster you move your fingers, less distance would be needed to move the pointer a larger distance on the computer's screen.
Extendibility – In case you move your fingers pass the boundaries of the track pad, the app dynamically extends the limits of the track pad area so the functionality being performed is maintained and remained active until you lift your fingers.
Mouse left click – a single tap on the mouse pointer area simulates the functionality of the mouse left click.
Mouse double left click – a double tap on the mouse pointer area simulates the functionality of the mouse double left click
Horizontal Scroll – using slightly separated two fingers that touch and move simultaneously on mouse pointer area in a horizontal (up-down) direction, would simulate the functionality of horizontal scroll.
Vertical Scroll – using slightly separated two fingers that touch and move simultaneously on mouse pointer area in a vertical (left-right) direction, would simulate the functionality of vertical scroll.
Drag and Drop – drag-and-drop functionality is gained by double-tap-and-stay-down. Double tap without lifting the finger after the second tap selects the element (window, file, etc.) and then moving the finger while it is still down on the element, simulates the drag functionality and the object follows the finger's move. To release the element and stop dragging lift your finger.
Right Mouse Click – tap with fingers anywhere on the mouse pointer area to simulate clicking the right mouse button.
Left Mouse Click
Tapping the left mouse click area simulates clicking the left mouse button. Double tapping the left mouse click area simulates double clicking the left mouse button.
Right Mouse Click
Tapping the right mouse click area simulates clicking the right mouse button.
The 'Trackpad Settings' dialog is accessible from 'Full PC Control' or 'Game Play' and enables changes of the trackpad properties 'on the fly'. Tapping on "Tackpad Settings" button shows dialog on screen. To close the dialog tap again on "Tackpad Settings" button or tap on 'Close' button of the dialog.
Tracking speed – allows the mouse pointer to move faster or slower. Tap 'Default' button to restore default value (exact center).
Left-click – enables/disables one finger tap to emulate mouse left-button click.
Right-click – enables/disables two fingers tap to emulate mouse right-button click.
Middle-click – enables/disables three fingers tap to emulate mouse middle-button click.
Double-click – enables/disables one finger double tap to emulate mouse left-button double click.
Enable scrolls – enables/disables two fingers swipe to scroll page content vertically or horizontally.
Scroll direction natural – On: the page content scroll direction is the same as the fingers swipe direction (as in MAC OS), Off: the page content scroll direction is opposite to the fingers swipe direction (as in Windows).
